Salish Sea Opens in Edmonds
Edmonds is officially a two brewery city. Salish Sea Brewing opened about a month ago. Owner Jeff Barnett honed his craft working with Skip Madsen at American Brewing (also in Edmonds) for several years. Jeff says he hopes to keep things simple at his brewery/tasting room by creating a friendly and intimate place to hang out. His plan is to build a loyal following among the beer geeks and home brewers in the immediate Edmonds area, with great classic beer styles.
On tap on this visit were his Amber Ale and Porter, and several guest taps. He will also be brewing a Stout, IPA, Red, Pale, Black IPA and Blonde. Several seasonal brews will be added to the mix along the way. Current production will be about 40 bbls a month.
Beers can be enjoyed on premises or To Go in growlers. No dogs allowed.
Nearby you can find American Brewing, home of Caboose Oatmeal Stout (♥♥♥♥♥), Breakaway IPA and American Blonde, and Gallagher’s (Where You Brew). Check ’em out.
