Well okay then. Seems the beer festival organizers all agree that the last weekend in January is the best time to stage their event.
Three great festivals are out there for your weekend enjoyment: Strange Brewfest in Port Townsend, Belgian Fest in Seattle, and the Pike Chocofest at the Pike Brewing facility.
Strange Brewfest 12, the Mount Olympus of beer festivals
January 29-30, 2016
“With each year, we consider both the honor and the achievement of presenting another edition of Strange Brewfest. On January 29-30, 2016, we will offer our 12th version of Port Townsend’s ode to NW brewers, and their imaginations.”
Belgian Fest 2016 – This event is put on by the Washington Beer Commission. Two sessions on Saturday, Jan 30.
“The 7th Annual Belgian Fest at a new venue, Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center, will highlight 100+ Belgian-style beers crafted by Washington breweries. Featured beer styles includ Tripels, Dubbels, Saisons, Wits, Abbeys and Lambics. In keeping with this unique style, all of the beers are brewed with Belgian yeast.”
