Brewing Beer Your Way

My Bark Label 2In addition to enjoying many great styles of craft beer from around the world, and especially from my neighborhood brewer, I make my own beer. I like to make things that probably are not big commercial hits. No IPAs here, for example.

I like to make beer with excessive amounts of oatmeal and wheat, or a holiday amber ale loaded with cinnamon and vanilla, or a honey nut brown, with emphasis on honey and nutty. I also like Maibock, Helles and Weizenbock styles. What I usually find in stores (if I find any at all) lack the deep flavors and loosely monitored ABV that comes out of my little five gallon homebrew batches.

There is a comprehensive section on this blog dedicated to homebrewing. It draws heavily on information from the AHA and WAHA. There is also great information on the Renton Area Homebrewers (RAH) website.
